Do you make use of logo templates and logo generators to create logos? How good are they?

I have done this before. When I was still learning on how to design a logo, I made use of logo templates and a logo generator.

The difference is clear because a skilled designer will do more by designing a great logo with his/her creativity.

I think some of them are good. But the issue is we cannot customise them easily. Even it is a small design change, there is little we could do.

Yeah, some of them are good. I can attest to that. They can't be customized easily as you said, we need to add a little effort from our own side.

Free tools are limited in many ways. Though they can also be used to create cool designs, you will surely do better with premium softwares and tools.

Unless they provide the source file, it is a mammoth task. You need to start creating everything from zero and then add modifications.
Starting from zero isn't bad but it will stress you more than the free logo you get from logo templates and logo generators. Both ain't bad at all depending on what you want for yourself.

Every new designer should start with editing templates first. Designing from scratch should be done when they have mastered the art, not when they are still learning.

It's not that some designers love stress but most of them like to design their logo from scratch. They master the art so easily from there than using the templates.

Well these ones can actually be said to be professional designers. So they can choose not to follow any template.

There's always a limit to what a free graphics design tool can do for someone. This is why I mix up both of them which gives me a better result.

I use free logo generator and templates to design logos. I make use of it to design different names to know how beautiful they look.

Logo generators and template libraries can be handy when you need a quick placeholder or a starting point for ideas. Because they spit out generic layouts, you spend less time staring at a blank screen. That said, the customization options are limited and the end result usually isn’t unique. You’re also unlikely to get the proper file formats or scalability you would from a designer. If you’re working on a personal project or a very small budget, they’re fine to explore, but for anything public facing it’s worth either learning to build your own in vector software or hiring someone who can create something tailored to your brand.

Do you make any changes to the logos they generate or their are perfect for usage like that?

Make use of of AI tools have been very helpful in creating free logos which some of my clients enjoy the way it rhymed with projects I've worked on for them.
