Do you have a mentor or someone you symbolise? Do you get inspired by a person's or group's art work? What is special about their art?

I don't have a mentor or someone I symbolise in designing. I can love anybody's work and try it out on my own.

I have a friend that I always love his designs and he's giving me the urge to always try out his works on my own which I have been doing.

I had a few people who made me think that it was impossible for me to do stuff like this. When I talked, they helped me understand how it done and gave me a perspective that helped divide a difficult task into small ones.

I have any personal mentor whom I always run to in person for anything when it comes to graphics design. YouTube is my home when it comes to where I follow pros and learn from them.

Will Paterson is one of my favorite graphics designer on YouTube. He's an expert in logo design, Adobe Illustrator, and typography.

Who was that? I really didn't get that kind of guideline when I was learning about designing, so I had to depend on everything that I learnt online via YouTube.

I think he meant his teacher or tutor who was the one that taught him about designing. Some people couldn't get one, that's why they focus on self learning.

It is just the right thing to do when you choose your teacher as your mentor. That is basically what teaching is all about after all, to mentor others in their own lives.

This question is simple but it's a deep question. Some of many of us are being inspired every day because of the bills we need to pay.

The reason why having a mentor is very important in a graphic designer's life is that there are so much knowledge which you can be able to acquire from such person that is going to lead you on the right path on being a successful graphic designer.

Now this is something to ponder about. Even if you don’t have any other drive that is actually enough.
